Grow a Garden - IRL

Join our kids' workshop to learn about planting, sustainability, and healthy eating through hands-on activities. They will learn how to plant their own garden all from a real life food forest.

(in real life!)
How to grow from seed

Each child will learn how to plant their own seeds (flowers, fruits, and vegetables) and learn what's needed to get them thriving. There will be seeds to take home to plant.

Healthy Eating

Learn about eating fresh, chemical free food to nourish our bodies. Test out which herbs smell the best and make a refreshing herb drink.

Sustainability

We'll talk about composting and worm farms, and kids will get crafty by making a mini greenhouse out of recycled plastic to take home. A fun way to see how we can grow more using what we already have!

Why grow a garden?

We’ll chat about how plants help the planet — from cleaning the air and creating homes for insects to feeding pollinators and reducing food miles. Kids will see how growing our own food can save money.
