Grow your own delicious tropical Sugar Apple (Annona squamosa) from fresh Cambodian-grown seed.
These seeds were collected from exceptionally sweet fruit purchased at local markets in Cambodia. Sugar Apple is prized for its creamy, custard-like flesh and rich, tropical flavour.
The seeds have been carefully cleaned and dried, allowing them to be stored until you're ready to plant. Store them in a cool, dry place for best results.
Best suited to warm, frost-free climates. Can be grown in containers in cooler regions and protected over winter.

Sowing: Soak seeds in warm water for 24 hours before planting to help soften the seed coat.
Planting depth: Sow approximately 1–2 cm deep in a free-draining seed raising mix.
Temperature: Best germination occurs in warm conditions (around 25–30°C).
Germination time: Seeds can take approximately 3–8 weeks to germinate, sometimes longer.
Position: Grow in full sun with protection from frost and cold winds.
Soil: Prefers well-drained soil and does not like wet feet.
Climate: Ideal for warm, subtropical and tropical gardens. In cooler areas of New Zealand, grow in a pot and protect from frost during winter.
