Grow your own exotic passionfruit from this rare yellow-fruited variety from Mondulkiri, Cambodia.

Known for its sweet, fragrant fruit and honey-like flavour - this was a stand out favourite on our trip to Cambodia.

The yellow fruit has a beautiful aroma and a naturally sweet flavour that makes it excellent eaten fresh, added to desserts, or used for drinks.

Seeds have been carefully cleaned and dried, allowing them to be stored until you are ready to plant. Store seeds in a cool, dry place until sowing.

Note - This rare variety is from the warm region of Mondulkiri Cambodian. As per tropical fruit growing, performance may vary depending on climate, location, and growing conditions. We recommend treating this as an exciting trial variety for gardeners interested in experimenting with unique edible plants.

Sowing:

  • Soak seeds in warm water for 24 hours before planting to encourage germination.

  • Sow seeds approximately 5–10 mm deep in a free-draining seed raising mix.

  • Keep soil warm and consistently moist, but avoid waterlogging.

Germination:

  • Best germination occurs in warm conditions around 20–30°C.

  • Germination can take approximately 3–8 weeks, sometimes longer.

Growing Conditions:

  • Plant in full sun with support such as a trellis, fence, or pergola.

  • Prefers fertile, well-drained soil with regular moisture.

  • Protect from strong winds and severe frost.

  • Best suited to growing in warmer regions.
